A victim who survived the horrific mass shooting at a U.S. nightclub said Tuesday he feared for his life as he played dead after the assailant had already shot him in a hand and hip.

Benin zonal office of AIT shut following the sack of all its staff


The management of the African Independent Television have reportedly sacked all its staff at its zonal office in Benin city, Edo state today June 14th. According to The Nation, the management of the media company which is owned by Raymond Dokpesi, relieved the workers of their duty in a letter dated June 2nd and signed by the company's Senior Manager in charge of Human Resources, Victor Okasoga. The affected workers are being owed arrears of salaries of up to two years. Their dismissal according to the letter is with immediate effect.

It was a rude awakening this morning as the industry wake up to another death of one of the foremost songwriter,singer and producer Babatunde Okungbowa popularly known as OJB Jezreel. The music maestro, who was flown for a Kidney transplant in India in 2013 and was said to be doing well, had a relapse about two weeks ago and was kept on daily dialysis before his urgent need for oxygen yesterday. Unfortunately, he didn't make it. He died early this morning June 14th at Isolo General Hospital in Lagos.


He is survived by 3 wives,RIP OJB.
