One of the paintings Manchester City handed Manuel Pellegrini as a farewell gift ahead of his final home game has now been revealed.
City owner Sheikh Mansour bought two works of art, one of which is a secretive painting by L.S Lowry which could be worth millions of pounds, as a token of the club's appreciation for the Chilean's work over the past three years.
Khaldoon Al Mubarak, the City chairman, presented Pellegrini with the farewell gifts at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.
While the identity of the Lowry piece is unknown, the second was painted by northern artist Stephen Wright and purchased from Click Art, a gallery based in Hale.
Measuring 41.5" x 47.5", the painting depicts fans at the Etihad Stadium during City's game against Aston Villa in the penultimate game of the 2013-14 season.
After Liverpool dramatically threw away a three-goal lead at Crystal Palace, City took on Villa knowing victory would leave their title hopes in their hands.
The 4-0 win paved the way for City to beat Newcastle United on the final day and clinch the Premier League crown in Pellegrini's first season in charge.
