Terrible Bride Removed Bridesmaids From Party Because of Their Skin Color?

Everyone encounters a bridezilla or two in their lifetime. When we heard about the bride who made headlines for asking her friend to dye her hair to match the rest of the bridal party, we thought it couldn't get any worse, but apparently it can.

Image result for woman remove her friend from wedding bride because of their skin colourReddit user throwittothewolves60 claims she was removed from her friend's bridal party because of her skin color. Initially, the bride said there weren't enough groomsmen to balance both parties, but she later learned that the bride excluded her-and one other woman-from the group because the bride didn't like the way their dark skin tones looked in the bridesmaids dresses. Since sharing her story online, the woman's post has gone viral and received hundreds of comments.
"A month after the wedding, one of the bridesmaids was venting to me about how the bride still hadn't paid for the catering that her boyfriend did and how angry she was about it," the former bridesmaid said, according to Refinery29. "During this conversation, she casually lets it slip that the real reason we were removed from the wedding was because I (South Asian) and my friend (black) had dark skin, and she preferred how the dresses looked on pale skin. I still haven't told the other removed bridesmaid about this revelation."
Racist Bride Removes Bridesmaid From Bridal PartyWhile the booted bridesmaid has not confirmed all of this with the bride yet, she has several reasons to believe the latest explanation is credible. Firstly, she pointed out that all of the remaining women in the party had pale skin, and secondly, she's known the truth-telling bridesmaid for a long time and trusts her. We may never know what really happened, but either way, the internet and other Reddit posters had a lot to say about this particular prejudice.
After explaining her story, the dismissed bridesmaid was met with a ton of support from fellow posters. "This is not a friend you want to have," one commenter wrote. "My friend is a professional power lifter and looked like a ridiculous baby gorilla crammed into my groomsman's outfit. Didn't make an ounce of difference because he's my friend and I wanted him beside me."
She had to find out the hard way, but at least this booted bridesmaid knows who her real friends are now.
